Ivy Tech Community College Offers Author Talk & Book Signing Event with Dr. Scott Simerlein

Ivy Tech Community College recently announced new book signing and author talk with Dr. Scott Simerlein. Event marks release of Dr. Simerlein’s first full length novel, Rudger Rump and the Mage of Ages.

Dr. Simerlein offers Rudger Rump, a humorous young adult fantasy adventure inspired by works like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. Event is set for September 27, 2023 from 6:45pm-8pm CT on the Ivy Tech Michigan City Campus, located at 3714 Franklin Street, Michigan City, IN 46360.

“I’m so excited to share this novel and connect with new readers and writers alike. This is a fun story that is geared for everyone,” said Associate Professor of Science, Dr. Scott Simerlein.

Rudger Rump and the Mage of Ages is currently available for checkout at both the Michigan City and Valparaiso Ivy Tech Libraries. The Michigan City Ivy Tech Community College Library will host an author’s book talk event on Wednesday, September 27, from 6:45-8:00PM.  Dr. Simerlein will share his experiences writing and publishing Rudger Rump.  Don’t miss this free event, which is open to the public and will be followed by an autographing session.

The novel centers around a young gnome who discovers he can work word magic and his efforts to save the entire kingdom from an evil human wizard. Rudger Rump and the Mage of Ages is also available on Amazon in both e-book and paperback formats.
