Chesterton High School and Chesterton Middle School French teacher, Jordan Nelson, was awarded the Rising Star Award by the Indiana chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French this past weekend at the Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association conference in Indianapolis. This is the state conference for all world language educators. This award goes to one young French teacher in the state that the organization feels is doing an outstanding job and who will be a leader in teaching excellence for many years to come.
Jordan was honored at the luncheon for all conference attendees and he had an opportunity to meet and talk to Glenda Ritz, Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction.
