Active arts with the Parks
Grades K - 5 | Mondays in September | Valpo Parks is excited to offer a NEW Youth Enrichment program for grades K-5 that have chosen to homeschool their children this year! Active Arts with the Parks provides physical education, music and art from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. every Monday at Heartland Church. Your child will spend 30-45 minutes in each class learning from teachers who specialize in those subjects. Class sizes are small so be sure to sign up soon! To register, click here.
Valparaiso pathways heroes bike ride
All Ages Welcome | September 11 | Join other community bike enthusiasts on this FREE bike ride. This ride will travel paved pathways and city sidewalks in honor of our local heroes. Ride will start and finish at Foundation Meadows Service Memorial Fountain. All ages welcome! To register, click here.
Houseplant & replanting workshop
Ages 8+ (8-13 with an adult) | September 19 | Just $15 to enjoy a few hours learning from the experts of Chesterton Feed & Garden Center! Topics covered will be: potting and repotting, propagation, pruning, pests and more. After the program, supplies will be provided to repot one houseplant. 12" and smaller pots will be provided along with soil. Registration deadline is September 9th! To register, click here.
Coed & women's adult volleyball
Ages 18+ (no longer in high school athletics) | October - March | Time to start thinking about Adult Volleyball Leagues! Season includes round robin play and tournaments during the fall and winter months. Team fees are $410/$470 depending on residency. Get those teams ready to BUMP, SET, SPIKE before the September 18th registration deadline! To register, click here.
Youth coed volleyball
Grades 2nd - 5th | October 19 - December 9 | Sessions consist of 30 minutes instruction/drills followed by 30 minutes of scrimmage. Participants are divided by grade level and will take place at either Heavlin or Flint Lake Elementary Schools. Registration deadline is October 1st! To register, click here.
