Around the square in downtown Valpo, you may have noticed several pianos sitting out on the sidewalk. Similiar to the cows in Chicago and the benches around Northwest Indiana, the Kiwanis decided to do something different for the city. Two Men and a Truck picked up the pianos and delivered them free of charge to the downtown locations.
The pianos will be up until July 30th. Many residents have already made good use out of the project. "The pianos are being played a lot, it's pretty amazing" stated Steve Ingram, Kiwanis president, remarking on the great turnout the pianos have received.
