“We are very excited about the enhanced shopping experience we’ll be able to offer for our customers at the new location. The store will be much easier to find and more centrally located just off of Franklin Street. We are appreciative of all the support we’ve had at the present location, and are looking forward to serving many more customers at the new store,” said Bob Long, Executive Director of LaPorte County Habitat.

The ReStore features new and gently used items donated by individuals and businesses. Among the best sellers are large and small appliances, building materials, furniture, and household items. Items are priced from 60% and more off of regular retail prices.

“Sales from the ReStore generate funds for Habitat’s primary mission, which is to build affordable, decent housing for low to moderate income families in our community,” Long continued. “The success of the ReStore directly impacts the financial health of our organization.”

The new ReStore location is two blocks east of Franklin Street at 225 East Garfield. For more information, to donate, or to explore volunteer opportunities, contact Dan Zeilbeck, ReStore Manager at (219) 814-4985.
