Foundation Chair and Past Club President Roger Luekens announced on January 27, that the Valparaiso Noon Kiwanis Club Foundation has started a matching gifts campaign to be concluded on April 21. Two anonymous donors have offered to match up to $1500 in member giving to our Club’s Foundation. If you want to double your gift please give a check to Norm Hittinger, Treasurer of the Valparaiso Noon Kiwanis Foundation.
Contributions will be placed in the Foundation Endowment Account. Endowment monies are never spent. Instead, they are held permanently and invested to generate income for the Foundation to distribute to supported initiatives. The Foundation’s Board of Directors oversees the investment strategy and pools all contributions in order to make effective investment choices.
The Foundation’s goal is to reach $100,000. We are currently are over half way there.
Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible (see your financial advisor for specific legal and tax advice).
