Parents of students returning to Merrillville Schools for in-person and virtual learning during the 2021-22 school year are requested to verify their information online as a form of re-enrollment from Aug. 2 through 13.
This information provided by families is used to update school records, plan transportation, provide a safe environment for children and confirm enrollment for the new school year.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 2, the “Verification of Information” link will appear on all school websites as well as the corporation website, www.mvsc.k12.in.us. All parents are requested to log into their accounts using their Skyward Parent Access logins and passwords to complete this process.
The re-enrollment process is best completed on a tablet, laptop or desktop computer. Parents who use cell phones to access the Internet and need a computer on which to complete this process are invited to stop in at the Merrillville Community School Corporation Central Office, located at 6701 Delaware St., during business hours to use an available computer.
The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and is located next to Merrillville High School.
Merrillville families with a change of address or incorrect address listed in Skyward Parent Access must visit their children’s schools with verification of address between Aug. 2 and 13 for grades five through 12 or between Aug. 4 and 13 for grades one through four. Families whose children attend multiple schools can simply visit the school of their oldest student.
Address verification can take the form of either driver’s licenses, utility bills, mortgage statements or leases. For additional information regarding acceptable proof of residency, parents can call their children’s schools or visit their school websites.
Parents enrolling their children for the first time should contact their schools to schedule an appointment to complete the enrollment process.
