Sanitary District General Manager, Michael Kuss, would like to inform the public that the Michigan City Sanitary District (District) will be conducting Urgent/Emergency Sewer Repair Work to the sanitary sewer on the 300 Block of Madison Street, Michigan City, Indiana. The project will be conducted by the District’s contractor Woodruff and Sons, Inc. The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 3, 2017 and should conclude by Friday, April 21, 2017.
The approved Traffic Control Plan will close Madison Street between York and Oak Streets. The Madison Street traffic will be detoured to Thurman Ave. The residents on Madison Street should have no interruption in water or sewer service, and the Contractor will work with these residents on temporary parking arrangements during this project.
