Munster High School's Drew Hackett was named the IBCA/Subway Boys Basketball Player of the Week in District 1 for the week of Jan. 27 to Feb. 1.
Other nominees for the award from Northwest Indiana include Matt Dvorscak (Whiting), Jake Koselke (Morgan Township) and Keenan Simmons (Michigan City).
On the District 1 girls side, Jordan Cole (Munster), Jaclyn Heath (La Porte), Bethany Jansma (Kankakee Valley) and Caroline Puntillo (Chesterton) were the local players nominated for the weekly award.
