Myers Fourth Grade Attends Agriculture Day

Myers-Fourth-Grade-Ag-DayFourth graders from Myers Elementary School attended the Agriculture Day at the Valparaiso Fairground on Tuesday, May 10. Presentations there allowed the kids to understand the importance of farming in Indiana. They were impressed with the farm animals, awed by the power of the tractor, and amazed with the small amount of time that hens take to produce eggs.

Students in Mrs. Smith's class are researching and writing informational essays. Topics range from World War II to the Loch Ness Monster myth. Mr. Myers' social studies students are studying historic Native Americans. Mrs. Gilbert's class assignments are related to plants. Upon return from "Ag Day" all fourth graders developed experiments and planting different kinds of beans.
