Project Neighbors would like to invite the community to the grand opening of Neighbors Place - A Residence for Women on December 10. This is a new facility that has taken the empty space that was once occupied by HealthLinc at 454 S. College Avenue in Valparaiso.
There is a need for affordable housing in Valparaiso, and Neighbors Place is the answer to that need. Single women on low incomes will be able to afford a place to stay that is safe and well cared for. It's a step in helping them get back on their feet.
18 units are in the building and include a kitchenette, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a living area. It's close to the downtown area, the highway, and the police and fire stations so it's a great location that will provide convenience to the residents.
The grand opening begins at 4pm on location with a dedication ceremony taking place at 6pm. Drinks and hors d' oeuvres will be served.
