Northwest Health Offers Free CT Lung Cancer Screening to Qualifying Community Members

Thanks to a grant provided by the Indiana Department of Health, Northwest Health – La Porte and Starke are offering free low dose CT Lung Cancer Screenings to residents of Indiana who meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Between the age of 50-77

• Asymptomatic (no signs or symptoms of lung cancer)

According to research, early detection increases a person’s chances of survival and CT scans are an easy and painless way to help detect lung cancer at an early stage, when it is most treatable.

To learn more, contact the hospital’s lung cancer patient navigator at 219-325-6396. If you meet the eligibility requirements, the navigator can assist you in obtaining a physician’s order as well as help schedule your free CT lung cancer screening.
