Notre Dame men’s basketball exploded for a season-high in points, cruising to a 91-62 victory over Le Moyne on Sunday evening. The Fighting Irish (7-5) claimed their third straight win and improved to 6-1 at Purcell Pavilion, officially concluding their non-conference schedule.
Tae Davis Leads the Way
Junior forward Tae Davis delivered another standout performance, notching his second consecutive 20+ point game and fourth of the season. Davis finished with 24 points on 6-of-10 shooting and tied a career high with 12 made free throws on 14 attempts. He also extended his career-best streak of double-digit scoring games to seven.
Supporting Cast Shines
Freshman guard Logan Imes recorded his first career double-digit scoring effort, finishing with 11 points on 3-of-5 shooting and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. Sophomore guard Braeden Shrewsberry extended his streak of double-digit games to eight, scoring 14 points while going 4-for-8 from the floor and a perfect 5-for-5 at the line.
Freshman guard Cole Certa scored his first collegiate basket and finished with five points, while fellow freshman Garrett Sundra led the team with eight rebounds. Graduate guard Matt Allocco chipped in eight points and a team-high six assists. Forward Kebba Njie contributed nine points and six rebounds, and guard Julian Roper II added a season-high eight points.

Notre Dame jumped out early with Tae Davis and Julian Roper II combining for the team’s first 11 points, giving the Irish an 11-8 lead. A decisive 16-2 run at the 10:59 mark of the first half—fueled by contributions from Davis, Njie, Allocco, Roper, and Shrewsberry—pushed the Irish ahead 27-10.
The Irish connected on 10 of 12 shots during a stretch that helped build a 41-23 lead. Davis and Shrewsberry each scored 12 points in the half as Notre Dame shot 60% (18-of-30) from the field, their second straight game hitting that mark. The Irish entered halftime with a commanding 49-30 lead, their highest-scoring first half of the season.
Notre Dame kept the pressure on to start the second half with a 10-3 scoring run, including six points from Davis. A three-pointer by J.R. Konieczny and free throws by Imes extended the Irish lead to 68-38 at the 13-minute mark, their first 30-point advantage of the season.
From there, Notre Dame’s reserves took over, sealing the 91-62 victory. The Irish set a season-high with 23 made free throws on 28 attempts and recorded their highest scoring output since a 99-point performance against Boston College on Feb. 16, 2022.
