Officials to break ground on state-of-the-art SoLa mixed-use development Friday in Michigan City

Michigan City officials, YAB Development Partners and key stakeholders will break ground on the highly-anticipated SoLa mixed-use development on Friday, officially launching the 628,000 square-foot hotel, residence and retail space.

Featuring TRYP by Wyndham and Trademark Hotel brands, luxury residences, restaurants, retail spaces and outdoor areas, SoLa serves as a gateway for the southern rim of Lake Michigan. The project includes a 14-story, 255-key dual-brand hotel, 21,000 square feet of commercial space, a 12-story condominium tower with 164 units, 17 townhouses and rooftop terraces. Most of the hotel rooms and condominium units will have sweeping views of Lake Michigan, the National Park and the Chicago Skyline beyond. All guests and residents will share incredible amenities like the 15,000 square-foot resort-style rooftop swimming pool and deck area, fitness center and spa, plus various restaurants, coffee shops, bars and plenty of outdoor space. SoLa is expected to create $680 million in local economic impact over the next 15 years. For updates and more information, follow visit www.solamichigancity.com.
