Patrick’s Grille has the magic needed to bring your next event to life

Finding the ideal venue for any event can be the most prominent part in the planning process. The space needs to comfortably hold the amount of people expected to attend, the food offered should suit every taste bud pallet, and the staff needs to be prepared for just about any twist and turn that may come along the way. All that, and even more, combined can make for quite a challenge.

Fortunately, Patrick’s Grille has the options available to make event hosting a smooth and simple process for all. Whether it be a personal gathering to celebrate with family and friends or a business meeting to share the latest updates and reports, Patrick’s Grille has the ideal space for your next event.

The Michigan City restaurant was recently renovated to accommodate business that has exponentially grown over the years. With more customers coming in, the staff found it was quickly outgrowing its kitchen area and needed to try something new to continue offering a quality dining experience to Northwest Indiana. The final outcome ended up being a perfect fit - Patrick’s Grille will be focusing on private events and catering and will operate its restaurant around those bookings. The restaurant will also be made a priority each Wednesday and will always be available that day of the week.

“We had to make a decision on what way we wanted to go,” said General Manager Julie Krause. “That just was a bigger piece of business we didn't really want to give up, so we're trying to make both work.”

With the renovations in place, Patrick’s Grille has two rooms available to rent out for events – one that can hold around 40 people, and one that can hold around 60, depending on how each  is arranged. This space provides a great atmosphere for any type of event, including small weddings, rehearsal dinners, celebrations of life, bridal showers, baby showers, and more.

The rooms also provide optimal space for corporate events as well as personal and include features that can come in handy for meetings and presentations.

“We're now set up to handle corporate events such as dinners,” said Krause. “We can also do breakfast or lunch, where people come in and have meetings or training sessions all day, and we can set them up with our 80 inch video screens with audio. We've set ourselves up where we can do both social and business any time of day and with pretty much any setup.”

An event of any kind isn’t complete without a delicious meal. Patrick’s Grille offers a new menu each week, courtesy of Chef Rick Bruggeman, to ensure visitors are always left feeling happy with their stomachs full. The menu is typically posted early in the week to give everyone a glimpse of what’s ahead, and the change allows the restaurant to keep things fresh while also offering a little splash of variety.

“He usually tries to keep a nice mix. We’re known for our steaks, so we always try to have one or two of our fresh steaks. We try to have some fresh fish; we always have our saganaki which is a staple item,” said Krause. “Then we still make sure to plan for those non-meat or non-fish eaters and vegetarians. We try to keep a nice mix on there, but it's not the same items week in and week out. It changes up.”

Additionally, those hosting events at other locations can still enjoy a taste of what Bruggeman’s cooking with Patrick’s Grille’s catering services. The restaurant is more than willing to travel around the Region to make sure guests are always offered a quality meal regardless of location.

No matter the event, Patrick’s Grille has the quality staff to work with you every step of the way. Many of its staff members have years of experience in the field, including Bruggeman who has been working with food since he was a boy, and Krause, who has many years of experience in event planning. The staff takes pride in its work, and wants to make sure each and every event goes beyond expectation and is always one to remember in the best way possible.

“We have a beautiful facility, and we pretty much do it the way you want us to do it. We listen to what you want and then we start off exploring what you are looking for and then help guide you through that process,” Krause said.
