The Northwest ISBDC and Accounting Made Simple are offering three workshops to assist business owners and entrepreneurs with wrapping up the payroll process for 2013.
W2 and 1099 Year-end Payroll Workshop will be from 9 a.m. to noon Friday Jan. 17, Detect and Correct will be from 9 a.m. to noon Friday Feb. 7 and Closing the Books will be from 9 a.m. to noon Friday Feb. 14.
All workshops will be at Purdue University North Central Graduate Building, 600 Vale Park Road, in Room 20. The cost is $60 per workshop. Discounts are being offered for participants taking more than one workshop.

Workshop topics include: verifying payroll totals, prepping for printers, verifying vendor data, analyzing reports, fixing common mistakes, establishing closing procedures and archiving and securing QuickBooks data.
Serving seven counties in the region, the NW-ISBDC offers no-cost assistance for entrepreneurs starting or expanding their businesses. Through one-on-one consulting, the NWI SBDC helps guide small businesses toward their goals by offering referrals, workshops, training opportunities and other essential business tools. It is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration, the State of Indiana and other local partners.
