Portage Alumni, teachers, coaches and administrators:
If you were part of the Portage Township High School or middle school family between the years of 1973 and 1981, you are invited to a special Gathering at Woodland Park on September 1 beginning at 3 p.m.
John Christakis, a member of the reunion committee said, “We, the classes of 73 to 81, want our teachers to know that we love them like parents and that we very much appreciate them for all that they did for us during those junior high and high school days.”
Nearly 70 staff members and numerous students from that era have already responded positively. But the reunion committee wants to reach and extend an invitation to others that may not have yet heard about the event.
Events have been scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday morning, afternoon and evening with lots of time for eating, socializing and sharing memories. Memorabilia such as athletic trophies and Pow Wows will be available to spark more memories.
