NW Indiana ER & Hospital Physician Owner Adam Glassman, MD, has been a part of its close-knit team since the very beginning.
“I’ve been with the hospital since its inception three or four years ago,” Glassman said.
Glassman has accrued decades of education and experience leading up to his position at NW Indiana ER & Hospital. This has allowed him to gain quality skills over the years to make sure every patient who visits the hospital is always treated with the utmost care.
He first obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Following this, Glassman earned his Doctor of Medicine from RUSH Medical College in Chicago and later completed his residency at Resurrection Medical Center, specializing in emergency medicine.
He is additionally board-certified in emergency medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Following his education, Glassman spent over 10 years working in prestigious healthcare organizations across the Midwest such as Northwest Community Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital. While working, Glassman has also given speeches as a resident lecturer and has written articles in lending research publications.
All of this combined has brought Glassman to NW Indiana ER & Hospital. Having previously worked in a variety of different environments has allowed him to really appreciate the small but mighty team. By operating on a smaller level, NW Indiana ER & Hospital is able to offer more individualized care to each and every patient. This approach, and the family-like atmosphere that has resulted from it, are some of Glassman’s favorite aspects about working at the hospital these past few years.
“I think we are pioneering micro-hospitals and disrupting the healthcare system to allow us to give patients the care they deserve,” Glassman said.
Glassman has seen a plethora of accomplishments in his career over the years, none of which would be possible without his support system cheering him on. Whether it be colleagues, family, friends, or any others, they all have had a positive impact on his journey while teaching him important life lessons along the way.
“There have been too many supporters to list or single out. I feel very lucky in that regard,” Glassman said. “They all remind me what is important in life and that nothing worth having comes easy."
Glassman also enjoys integrating himself into his community as much as possible and is a member of many professional organizations, one of which is the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
In his free time, Glassman enjoys keeping his mind active and spending time with those who matter most. He is also bilingual and speaks both Spanish and English.
“I enjoy chess and sports with my wonderful family,” Glassman said.
