Chicago’s Buddy Guy’s Legends has been voted "Best Blues Club" several times over by Living Blues Magazine, Citysearch, and AOL, it continues to be a Mecca for artists and blues lovers the world over. Legends has been host to Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert Collins, B.B. King and many more. You can now add Valparaiso’s own Planetary Blues Band to this list.

After getting back together in mid-2011, Planetary Blues have been revisiting their roots; shifting their focus back to the blues. Recently, all their hard has been channeled into three upcoming albums by the band: the first in a series of cover albums featuring the songs of their favorite blues artists, plus their much anticipated tribute to Bob Dylan’s songs in the blues format, as well as a new album featuring the band’s original Blues songs.

Since its formation in 1999, Planetary Blues Band has set the standard as one of the region’s best blues/rock bands. Planetary Blues Band consists of the “Brothers 3" - Martin, Bobby, and Michael Schaefer-Murray, and drummer, Nick Evans. They may be recognized by some of their previous albums, Blues for Our Grandfather, Souler, and The Myth of Progress.
