PNC American Sign Language Club Silent Coffee Event

The Purdue University North Central American Sign Language Club will host a Silent Coffee House on Friday, March 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Uptown Cafe in Valparaiso. asl-coffeehouse

The event is open to ASL students as well as community members. Children are welcome to attend with their parents or adult. This is a fun, casual event for all to enjoy through participation or as an observer.

Silent Coffee participants are asked to use ASL only for conversation and to place orders - a student may translate orders into English for the server or participants may point to the menu or write out an order.

There will be a fun group activity beginning at 7 p.m. with Scott Kochan and ASL storytelling.
