The Popcorn Panic run/walk is one of the highlights of the Popcorn Festival. This year was no exception, with 1,095 runners taking part in the 5 mile run, over last year’s 977, and 406 walkers compared to 391 in 2008. Matt Blume, a 2004 Valparaiso University graduate, took first place this year with a time of 25.28.6.
