Kelly Gardner, a Portage High School senior is the first student to receive her CDA certification in the CTE Education and Early Childhood program this year. Second year students within the program are eligible to obtain the necessary clock hours and education hours to achieve the credential. Students who received the national Child Development Associate (CDA) have demonstrated their ability to work with young children, completed the course work and passed the national exam which was administrated by the Council for Professional Recognition.
