The Portage Fire Department will be out on Halloween passing out over 4,000 glow necklaces and sticks. These were purchased through donations made from Portage Firefighters Local 3151 and Porter Regional Hospital.
The fire department’s marked ambulances and engines will be out in the neighborhoods during Trick or Treat times (5:30-7:30) distributing the glow necklaces in an effort to keep children safe and move visible to motorists.
Please take a moment and stop in at our Station 1, 3401 Swanson Rd to pick one up prior to Halloween. They are available in the Administration office Monday through Friday this week 8am to 4 pm.
