The Portage Porpoise Swim Club is a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to promote an interest in competitive swimming and to provide youngsters of all ages and abilities a place to participate in a safe and healthy environment. This organization is designed to offer an opportunity to develop physical fitness and sportsmanship.
Recently eight of the swimmers from PPSC were chosen to swim for Team Indiana. To qualify these team members had to meet time qualifications and complete an application process. This is the first time PPSC has been represented on Team Indiana. The swimmers that competed in the Central Zone Meet were: Kirsten West, Cayla Breault, Jacob Breault, Zoe Johnston, Colby Breault, Avery Johnston, Emma Bailey, and Erin Burke. Coach Jeremy Mendoza was also selected to be one of the coaches for Team Indiana.
The Fall/Winter season will begin for current and returning swimmers on August 31st. If your child would like to swim for the Portage Porpoise Swim Club there will be try-outs and registration on September 9th and 14th at the Portage High School Pool, Door 0,from 6p-8p.
