Portage Township Schools is partnering with the United Way of Porter County for their annual Day of Caring on Aug. 10.
Volunteers can choose to help with one of four projects throughout Portage Township Schools. Projects include cleaning up the middle school courtyards, painting the curbing in parking lots, repairing the roofs of the baseball and softball dugouts, and repairing the fencing at the high school’s athletic complex.
Those interested in volunteering their time on one of these projects can visit www.nwivolunteer.org, click on Nonprofits, and search Portage Township Schools. Registration information, meeting times and locations, and age requirements are listed with each project.
Registration closes on Aug. 6.
