The Porter County Seniors (ages 16-19) and Valparaiso Juniors (age 15-17) baseball teams will face off at Valparaiso High School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10. Both teams are sponsored by American Legion Post 94. The Juniors team is comprised of only residents of Valparaiso, while the Seniors have players from throughout the county.
"This game is a promotion of community baseball in Porter County and the city of Valparaiso," said Dan Sherman, coach of the Juniors. "We are using the high school field in the summer, which hasn't happened in several years, thanks to the generosity of the Valparaiso High School athletic department."
