Prom is just right around the corner! Don’t have your dress picked out yet? No problem! Some friends of ValpoLife.com headed to Catherine’s Bridal Boutique in downtown Valparaiso to show off the trendy looks for this year’s junior and senior prom dance.
Whether your style is more glam and strapless, or girly and two-pieced, Catherine’s Bridal offers an array of dresses ready to be worn, photographed, danced, (and kissed?) in.
As our earlier article, Shop Sleek and Stylish at Catherine’s Bridal for Your 2017 Prom stated: the trends to look for this year are once again, dark-toned colors or the contrasting floral, Spring prints. They are high-necked gowns or separated in two-pieces. c The three girls from Hobart High School, Skyler Sherwood, Mia Solivais, and Aleena Popp, are looking forward to their junior prom on April 29.
Owner, Cathy Brown and her staff helped the girls slip into some of the dresses on sale at the shop. The dressing room was sprinkled with gems, sequins, and colored fabric as the girls enjoyed a rainy afternoon playing dress up in a dress that they may soon be walking in on their way to their first prom.
The girls laughed and smiled as they slipped into the gowns, ready for the real day to come.
Brown promises to never sell the same dress in the same style and color to any other prom attendee at the same high school, making sure that whichever style you pick you’re an original on prom night.

Brown and her staff are open to help on Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays on 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Sundays, they will be open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. until April 23.
