Potesta Boys Christmas Tree Adventure!

December 2011 was the first year Nathan & Connor cut down their very own Christmas Tree! When we arrived at Guse Farm, the first thing they handed Nathan & Connor was a saw!

Then the friendly gentleman asked us to select the type of tree we wanted. The boys wanted the Fraser Fir because it was really soft and smelled so good! We drove to the field and the boys jumped out of the truck and ran around looking for the perfect Christmas Tree. It was the greatest feeling seeing the boys so excited!

Now it was time to cut the tree down...Dad cleared the snow and sand out of the way and Nathan started sawing. Then it was Connor's turn. Dad had to work on it for a little bit, but Nathan did most of the work, getting down and dirty sawing away! Having a blast!

After the tree was down, Nathan pulled it over to the truck and it was time to go to the shaker and baler! While they were getting our tree ready, we went inside and enjoyed hot chocolate and popcorn!
