The Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (RDA) will hold a public engagement session at the Porter Town Hall, 303 Franklin St., Porter, IN 46304, on Thursday, August 31st at 6:00 p.m. to present the Transit Development District for the Dune Park station area to the public.
A Transit Development District is a half-mile area anchored on a train station which captures incremental growth in income and property tax revenue for use in public investment related to the station area.
