Purdue Extension Presents Educational Programs: “The Brighter Side of Life” and “Caring and Feeding of Birds”

Purdue-ExtensionLife can be full of hardship and challenge. While positive thinking often won’t make problems go away, a positive attitude can go a long way in assisting with pain and difficulty. The program Brighter Side of Life takes place March 25, 2015 at the Porter County Expo Center at 10:00 AM. It will be presented by Linda Curley of Purdue Extension Lake County.

Beginning at 11:00 AM, John Santoro will present Caring and Feeding of Birds. The oriels and humming birds will be arriving soon. You can learn how to attract these and other birds into your backyard. He will also talk about caring for birds and about the different designs of bird feeders.

These programs are sponsored by the Porter County Extension Homemakers. Please call the Porter County Extension Office at 219-465-3555 for more information about these two informative programs or to pre-register. There is no fee required, and the public is invited to attend. If you have a disability that requires special assistance for your participation, please contact Purdue Extension Porter County at 219-465-3555.
