The Portage Youth Commission is sponsoring their Senior Leaf Raking event for Saturday, October 29th beginning at 10:00am. Senior citizens within Portage city limits can register for this free service by calling the Portage Park Department at 762-1675 but there are a limited number of spots available.
The Youth Commission is also seeking volunteers to help with raking; service organizations, volunteer groups, individuals, adults and children are welcome. We will be split up in groups of 8-10 and will start our extravaganza of leaf raking! To volunteer, contact the Mayor’s office at 762-5425.
