The Samaritan Counseling Center has been around since 1981 helping neighbors with their life challenges like struggles with depression, anxiety, marital problems, divorce, grief, addictions and trauma to name a few. We all have some kind of challenge in our lives. The professional, licensed and compassionate therapists at Samaritan Center use the holistic approach of mind, body, spirit & community recognizing that all are equally important.
Samaritan counselors help others regardless of their ability to pay or whether they have insurance. In order to do this, they must have fundraisers and are having the biggest one of the year on November 10th at Heston Hills Banquet Center 1933 E. 800 N in LaPorte.
There will be music and dancing with the Tom Milo Band, ballroom dancers to entertain, great food with a cash bar. They will also award the 2012 Samaritans of the Year to: NewDay Foundation, Michigan City Service League and Dan Lewis. There will be both live & silent auctions with a week’s stay at a beach home on Anna Marie Island in Florida, Cubs and Notre Dame tickets, Chrissy Vagenius and Steve Rubinkam artwork, and much more!
