I wanted to share some positive in this awful snow. I work at Scott Middle School in Hammond. Our parking lots were not able to be plowed before work, so we drove and parked in heaps of snow.
As it continued to snow all day, a few co-workers, as they were able, went out to clear off cars. Towards the end of the day, a few of the guys got shovels and started digging out everyone's cars so we could all leave after work.
One particular co-worker had a truck with towing capabilities. He stayed to make sure everyone could get out and towed anyone out of the snow that needed it.
In the school community, we treat each other like family. Yesterday was proof of our care for one another.
