South Haven Club Recognizes Club Members and Volunteeers at Annual Area Achievers Awards Ceremony

South-Haven-Boys-and-Girls-Club-Volunteers-IMAXSouth Haven Club recognized top Club members and volunteers of 2014 through their annual Area Achievers Ceremony on Saturday, April 11, 2015. The Area Achievers Ceremony highlights the accomplishments of Club members and volunteers in various areas of Club programming. At this year’s celebration, 135 guests attended and 22 awards were given to top achievers in the areas of Character & Leadership Development; Education & Career Development; Sports Fitness & Recreation; Health & Life Skills; and The Arts.

“This is my favorite celebration of the year,” states Ron Ranta, director of the South Haven Club. “Our Club members truly become engaged in our programs, and our programs are as good as our Club members who give their all to become involved with their communities, stay active and fit, and work toward their academic success. This is not just a time to honor their accomplishments, but a time to thank their parents and showcase to them the talents of their children.”

All Area Achiever Award recipients were given a plaque to recognize their accomplishments. Additionally, Club members were further recognized by being treated to a field trip to the Portage IMAX Theatre on Saturday, April 11th to see the movie ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2.’
