The Basics of Alzheimer’s Disease at the Portage Public Library

The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana will present “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia & Alzheimer’s Disease” in honor of National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month. The program will be held at the Portage Public Library on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from 3:00-4:00 PM. The Portage Library is located at 2665 Irving Street in Portage. AlzheimersAssociation

The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia & Alzheimer’s Disease” will provide basic information about memory loss issues and what they mean for all of us. Using the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s disease, this program compares the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease to normal aging. We will also cover an overview of how Alzheimer’s affects the brain, causes and risk factors and information on obtaining a diagnosis. The program will end with a question and answer session.
