The Valparaiso Noon Kiwanis Club announced on September 23 at its regular weekly meeting that 22 year member and former Club President Mary Spruitenberg has been named Outstanding Member of the Year. The Noon Kiwanis Club of 150 members annually donates over $50,000 per year to local community organizations that help improve the lives of children and their families in our community.
In addition, Club members contribute hundreds of hours of community service and support youth community service clubs in local high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools. Mary Spruitenberg is “an outstanding example of our Club and a tremendously hard worker” according to Club President Walt Daiber, as she regularly participates in community service and raises money for all of our activities. She is a dedicated community member who is always willing to give back to her Club and to her city.
