The Valparaiso Noon Kiwanis Club proudly announces that the Annual Pancake Day is set for Saturday, March 14th, from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Valparaiso High School Cafeteria, 2727 Campbell Street.
The event features all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and beverages amid a kid’s play area, entertainment, and fantastic raffle prizes awarded throughout the event. The prizes will be awarded throughout the event every half hour, with early bird “special” door prizes from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. In previous years power tools, bicycles, and a mini-refrigerator were given away.
“Pancake Day has been a tradition in the Valparaiso community for over 50 years, which is steadily growing. It’s a great event for a worthy community cause. All funds raised support the local community. In any given year, we return nearly $50,000.00 to the community. We are involved with kids, the elderly, the handicapped, families in need of help, or those in need of temporary assistance.” Stated Scott Carlson, Chairman of the event.
Tickets are only $5.00 per person in advance and $6.00 per person at the door. Pre-schoolers are complimentary. Tickets are on sale now and available from any Valparaiso Noon Kiwanis Club member or BoyConn Printing, 803 Glendale, NWI Eye & Laser Center, 502 Marquette, or Porter County Career and Tech Center, 1005 Franklin.
The Valparaiso Noon Kiwanis Club has nearly 200 members who are business owners, teachers, doctors, retirees, government employees, lawyers, policemen, firefighters, pastors, homemakers, architects, educational administrators, and many more.
