The Valparaiso Police Department is accepting applications for Police Officer. Applicants must complete the application via PoliceApp.com or at www.valparaisopolice.org. The minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity are the applicant must be 21—40 years of age, hold a high school diploma or GED, be a United States Citizen, possess a valid driver’s license and have no prior felony convictions.

A lateral transfer program (salary/vacation) is also available to qualified applicants as we are currently offering participation in an expedited hiring process for those who have completed an approved State of Indiana Law Enforcement Academy or are eligible for a waiver granted by the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board. The expedited hiring process will be continued through April 17, 2023, at 11:59 p.m.
All standard applications must be returned no later than 11:59 p.m. on May 5, 2023, to be considered for the scheduled agility/written tests. The current testing options are May 30th and 31st (2023) at 5:00 p.m., as well as June 3rd (2023) at 8:00 a.m. All testing will be conducted at the Valparaiso Police Department.
