‘Tis the Season

On Monday, Dec. 14, Mrs. Anderson's second-grade class worked on their coloring projects for Christmas. They painted ornaments as gifts to take home to their families.

"We have been studying different holidays around the world like Diwali, Christmas in Mexico, Christmas in Germany and Kwanzaa. We made Christmas ornaments and had a craft day where we made snowmen, snowflakes and trees," Mrs. Anderson, second-grade, said.

Since classes are not allowed to have traditional holiday parties, crafts and projects have been added by many teachers to celebrate holidays and breaks throughout the year. In-person learners have had to adapt to this new way of celebrating and will continue to do so for the remainder of the semester.

"I am hoping that everyone stays safe and healthy over break and that we can continue to learn as much as possible," Anderson said.
