As businesses across the Region continue to make their mark, we are continuously given more and more great news to share with all of you. 2021 saw tons of growth and development across our communities, with countless businesses expanding and invoking positive change on those around them.

Chester Inc.'s newest building for Northwest Indiana Eye and Laser Center hosts ribbon-cutting ceremony

All eyes were on the Northwest Indiana Eye and Laser Center on Wednesday, Sept. 22 for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new Valparaiso location at 851 Eastport Centre.

The project first started two years ago when the site for the Valparaiso location was first selected. Following the selection of the site, ground broke for the Center at Eastport Centre Business Park in October of 2020. Now, 11 short months later, it’s finally completed and ready to open its doors to treat patients. The new facility is 15,000 square feet, making it around three times the size of its old location on Marquette Street.

Comcast recently announced the launch of new WiFi-connected “Lift Zones” at nine Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana (BGCGNI) locations. Lift Zones are safe spaces where children can get online to do schoolwork and adults can get online to learn new digital skills, search for employment and access an array of services. The new Lift Zones are located at the following BGCGNI locations.
