City of Valparaiso and Valpo Parks host Color Fun Run 2024
On May 17th, the Mayor’s Youth Council and Valpo Parks hosted the third annual Color Fun Run at Valplayso and TJ Fields.
Valpo High School Patriot Day Event 2024
Members of the Valparaiso Police Department, Valparaiso Fire Department, and Porter County Sheriff’s Department ran the Valparaiso High School Stadium stairs in honor of Patriot Day on September 11. Their intent was to climb 110 flights of stairs, roughly equivalent to the number of stairs first responders would have climbed in the World Trade Center on 9/11/01.

Lit’l Kernel Puffs made their way down to the finish line despite the rain September 7th, 2024!
BOYS BASKETBALL Valparaiso VS. Portage 2024
The Valparaiso Vikings travel to Portage High School and won in the last quarter by two points. Scores during half-time was Portage 18 – Valparaiso 13 leading to Valparaiso ending the game 47-45. Last points scored by free throws were Jaelyn Johnson (12) on Portage and Jack Smiley (11) on Valparaiso.

Valparaiso High School beat Andrean High School in an action packed game 28-21 on August 30, 2024.

The community was able to enjoy Valparaiso Event’s Annual Popcorn Parade with amazing floats, September 7th, 2024!
Girls Basketball Semi State Valparaiso Vs. Noblesville 2024
Today the Valparaiso Vikings to on the Noblesville Millers. The Millers pulled ahead in the first quarter and the Vikings were never able to recover. The Vikings lost with a score of 59 to 42.
Boys Soccer Valparaiso vs. Chesterton 2024
The Chesterton trojans hosted the Valparaiso Vikings for a soccer match this evening. The Trojans started out strong by scoring 4 goals in the first half. Number 26 Cal Struckert and number 14 Zarek Sierazy both scored 2 goals each. Valpo tried to make a come back in the second by putting two goals on the board. Sadly that was not enough. Chesterton won with a final score of 4-2.
