Towle Theater to Offer Youth Education Workshops

towle-logoTowle Theater is excited to offer 3 one-week workshops this summer for students ages 12-18. The first workshop called Musical Discovery will run June 15-19 from 9am to noon. The workshop focuses on the musical "Catch Me If You Can". Students will read through the show. They will also rehearse and perform the song "Live in Living Color" from the show, complete with vocals and choreography.

The second workshop called Actor Exploration will run July 13-17 from 9am to noon. It will focus on monologue/scene development. Each student will select a monologue or 2-person scene to breakdown, rehearse and perform.

The final workshop of the summer will run August 3-7 from 9am – noon. This Musical Discovery workshop will focus on "Legally Blonde the musical". Participants will read through the show. They will also rehearse and perform the musical number "What You Want" from the show, complete with vocals and choreography.

The cost for an individual one week workshop is $100. If you decide to take multiple works shops, the cost is $175 for any two or $250 for all three. That's 3 weeks of awesome theater programs for a GREAT price. There is a minimum of 10 participants needed to run each workshop. The Towle Theater is located in historic downtown Hammond at 5205 Hohman Avenue. Free, well-lit, secured parking is available off of Fayette Street only steps away from the back entrance or in the parking lot directly across the street from the theater on Hohman Avenue.
