Towle Youth Theater Ensemble Announces Auditions for “Clue, The Musical”

Towle-TheaterSince 2010, the Towle Youth Theater Ensemble, or TYTE, has been wowing NWI audiences with productions such as the Northwest Indiana Premiere of Jason Robert Brown’s 13, Anne Frank and Me, A Heart Divided & Laughing Stock. The next TYTE production will be Clue, The Musical directed by Managing Director Jeff Casey and Musical Direction by Elizabeth Tuazon. The show will run Friday, October 19, 20, 25-27. The internationally popular game is now a fun filled musical which brings the world's best know suspects to life and invites the audience to help solve the mystery: who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room and with what weapon. Comic antics, witty lyrics and a beguiling score carry the investigation from room to room. Even after the culprit confesses, a surprise twist delights the audience.

Auditions will be held on Monday, August 26 at 7:00pm at the Towle Theater; 5205 Hohman Avenue, Hammond IN. They are seeking 5 young men and 3 young women (grades 6-12) all strong singers and actors for this fun and campy musical inspired by the famous board game. Please prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo Broadway style song, provide sheet music in the proper key. You may be asked to sing and read from the show.

Students from all over NW Indiana and Southern suburbs of Chicago are strongly encouraged to audition. Those who audition and don’t make the cast or anyone interested in off-stage/back-stage involvement will work on small committees for the show including box office, tech and PR/marketing.
