Triple Your Impact on Giving Tuesday through the Porter County Community Foundation

Giving Tuesday, a global movement based on the simple idea of a day to do good, is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. If you are looking to make your charitable dollars go further this Giving Tuesday, the Porter County Community Foundation (PCCF) has a rare opportunity you will not want to miss.

Lilly Endowment Inc. is tripling donations to PCCF's Community Fund. A $100 donation instantly becomes $300, $1,000 turns into $3,000, and so on.

"If people are passionate about the work of local nonprofits, now is the perfect time to donate," said Jeri Pat Gabbert, PCCF Executive Vice President and Chief Philanthropic Officer. "For a limited time, for every dollar given, Lilly Endowment will give two more."

The opportunity is part of Lilly Endowment's Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT) initiative. Donations will support PCCF's unrestricted endowment, the Porter County Community Fund.

The Community Fund is a super-powered charitable fund that can adapt to whatever Porter County needs most. Whether it is supporting youth programs, improving health services, protecting animal welfare, boosting arts and culture, enhancing education, or preserving our environment, this fund gives PCCF the flexibility to address the community's most pressing challenges both now and in the future.

The matching grant initiative represents a pivotal moment for Porter County's charitable giving landscape. By leveraging the power of matched donations, PCCF can build a stronger, more resilient fund to address both current and future community needs. The Foundation is aiming to raise $1.5 million – which would unlock $3 million in matching funds.

"This significant investment in the Community Fund will enable us to do more to assist the nonprofit organizations that are directly serving our residents," said Bill Higbie, PCCF President and Chief Executive Officer.

PCCF is a powerful force for good in Porter County. Since its establishment in 1996, the Foundation has awarded over $45 million in grants and scholarships to local organizations and students. This impressive track record demonstrates its commitment to strengthening the community through strategic philanthropy. The matching opportunity will dramatically increase its ability to support community needs and expand its impact.
