With our daily updates in articles, events, videos, and business listings, the ValpoLife.com library has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few months. This fact is a double edged sword because our breadth of information can easily lead to information overload. Luckily we've improved our site's search engine to help you battle information overload, and find the content you want as quickly as possible.
The ValpoLife.com search-box has been prominently placed so it is accessible from every page on the site very quickly.
By choosing the Google Search option you can quickly search the entire web via Google.
Your Google results will show up within ValpoLife.com. This is another great reason to set ValpoLife.com as your home-page.
If you leave the default option on, you can search all of ValpoLife.com's content.
The ValpoLife.com search engine will search the site's content, including article titles and the text within them.
The default option "All Words" will search for any articles that contain all of the words in your query, but the words don't have to appear together.
"Any Words" will return any articles that have at least one of the words you requested.
"Exact Phrase" will only list articles that have all of the words in your request, in the order your typed them.
The ordering list comes in handy for displaying your results. Newest first/Oldest first will change the order based on the date we have published our content. Most Popular will list articles that have a high number of views first. Section/Category will display the content based on the section and category we have designated it on the site.
The most useful tools in the search options are the newly improved "Search Only" check boxes. By checking one of these boxes, you can limit your search to some of our more extensive sections like video, business listings, restaurants, sports facilities, events, and venues! Because of the high volume of information in these sections, we've also added specific search bars in the right-column of each section's page (see below for examples).
You can also change the number of results you see per page by picking a number from the drop-down box on the lower left of the search.
We're constantly trying to make it easier for you to navigate the site and find exactly what you want quickly.
