Valentines on Display at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum

V3The La Porte County Historical Society Museum is again having its extensive collection of antique Valentines on display for the rest of January and all of February 2014. Somehow the Valentines seem to have multiplied over the summer as there are many more on exhibit than in years past! This year, they are not only in several of the Period Rooms, but they totally fill Exhibit Hall on the lower level as well! If you can't live without sweet sentiment, lace, hearts, and the color red, plan a visit to the La Porte County Historical Society Museum as soon as possible!

A program entitled "The Great Loves of La Porte County" is being planned for Saturday, February 15th, starting at 1P.M. If you know of a great love story or would like to share your own, please send an email to info@laportecountyhistory.org and your story will be included in the program, as well as kept in the Historical Society's archives. Forms are also available at the museum. Call 219.324.6767 for more information.

The La Porte County Historical Society Museum is located at 2405 Indiana Avenue in La Porte, and is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00A.M. to 4:30P.M..
