The Valparaiso Parks Foundation invites you to enjoy Sunday in the Park on May 23, 2010 at the Butterfield Pavilion. 
The casual gathering celebrates the Foundation and Department’s appreciation to those volunteers and supporters who make a significant difference through their dedication to your Valpo Parks.
This year’s honorees are Jerry and Linda Rodenbarger who will receive the Parks Foundation’s Annual Legends Award. Volunteers of the Year will also be recognized. They are youth sports coach Mark Russell, long-time Horticulture volunteer Ted Schwan, and youth sports coach Greg Simms. Please join us at the Butterfield Pavilion to honor these exceptional people.
In addition, the Foundation will also observe twenty years ago on May 13, 1990, Fairgrounds Park and the Butterfield Pavilion were dedicated and opened for the enjoyment of the Valparaiso community. Both Fairgrounds and the Pavilion still remain two of the Valpo Parks’ most popular sites for sports and special events.
