Valparaiso Urgent Care Reopens in New Location

Valparaiso Urgent Care Reopens in New Location

Less than a month after closing, Northwest Health reopened its Valparaiso Urgent Care on December 15.  The new location, 2505 Calumet Avenue, is also the location of Northwest Medical Group - Primary Care.  This new building, which opened in August 2023, was designed to accommodate additional services like Urgent Care and lab.  The site, with its entrance just east of the intersection of Calumet Avenue and Vale Park Road, offers convenient access to prompt,  quality, walk-in care at a more central location in Valparaiso.

Hours at the new location are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday hours are planned.

Staffed by Northwest Medical Group physicians and nurse practitioners, Northwest Health Urgent Care continues to offer the same care as the previous location:  treatment for people of all ages for common illnesses and injuries and basic wellness services such as sports physicals.

All Northwest Health locations accept Medicare, Medicaid and most major insurance plans.

Northwest Health Urgent Care plans to reopen its Portage site as well.  The three Northwest Health Urgent Care sites are currently:

  • 2505 Calumet Avenue in Valparaiso (enter from Vale Park Road),
  • 401 Newporte Boulevard in La Porte and
  • 3777 N. Frontage Road in Michigan City.
