Valparaiso Pop Warner is thrilled to introduce their inaugural 1st Down & 5K to Go! Valpo Pop Warner Touchdown Trot that will take place at 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011. This run for charity is a great way to stay involved in the community and enjoy an early morning run. Along with a 5K run, there will be a 3K fun run/walk and a “I Golfed, I Sipped, I Shuffle” 100 yard dash (all races are stroller friendly!). The fun will continue after the race with a Tailgate Party that includes a DJ, Face Painting, Balloon Artistry, plenty of fabulous food, and much MUCH MORE! This is a perfect event for the entire family!
The races will start and finish at Valparaiso High School. Crowds will cheer and there will be music along the route. Race day registration and packet pick-up will take place at 6:30am on Sunday, August 7th. The 5K will begin at 8:00am, the 3K at 8:20am and the 100 yard dash at 8:45am.
