Valpo Schools Foundation Legacy Walk Fundraiser

Valpo Schools Foundation Legacy Walk Fundraiser

Valpo Schools Foundation is leading a fundraising campaign to support the installation of a Legacy Walk at Valparaiso High School.  The Legacy Walk is an opportunity for individuals, families and local organizations and businesses to donate a commemorative brick and make a lasting mark on Valparaiso Community Schools.  “Our school system certainly has a legacy to be proud of and this Walk will allow us to engage the community in a meaningful, lasting way.  The Legacy Walk is an opportunity for the community to shine light on the alumni, staff and organizations that have had a positive impact,” said Dr. Jim McCall, Superintendent of Valparaiso Community Schools.

Custom Legacy Walk bricks are available to order March 1 through June 1, 2021.  The Legacy Walk will be substantially completed Fall 2021 and will connect the high school parking lot to the athletic fields.  The installation will incorporate past gifts and enhance the area with a new entryway.

Valpo Schools Foundation will spearhead the Legacy Walk brick fundraising campaign and donations will support student scholarships, classroom grants and student athletic teams and clubs.  “Valparaiso is known for its generosity and being a great place to live and learn.  This is another example of how the community can step up and pave the way for future generations,” said Lindsay Knauff, President of Valpo Schools Foundation.

Valpo Schools Foundation will be offering four custom brick options sized at 4” x 8” up to 16” x 16” with introductory fees ranging from $150 up to $5,000, which would include a custom logo.  Visit www.valposchoolsfoundation.org for additional information on custom options and to download an order form.  Printed information and hard copies of the order form are available for pickup in the vestibules at the Valparaiso High School Main Entrance, VHS Athletic Entrance or the VCS Administration Building during school hours.
